Swan Hill Rural City Council Economic Development Strategy 2011-2016 (Adopted Oct 2011)

"The Swan Hill Rural City Economic Development Strategy 2011- 2016 (EDS) is the key strategic document that will guide Swan Hill Rural City Council (SHRCC) through the implementation of economic development activities within the Local Government Area (LGA) for the next five years."

Data Updates

All datasets are updated at least annually in order to provide the user with up-to-date and current data. These updated files do not overwrite previous versions, allowing for benchmarking and trend analysis over time. This will be beneficial for current subscribers when the 2011 Census update is released.

Significant data updates are scheduled for the New Year including:

  • National Accounts data – Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS)
  • Regional Tourism Profiles – Tourism Research Australia (TRA)
  • 2011 Census of Population and Housing – Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS)

The team at REMPLAN will begin updating this data as soon as it is released. Subscribers to REMPLAN will receive the updated datasets at no additional cost.

REMPLAN Employment Projections

REMPLAN now provides “employment by industry projections” from 2006 to 2016. Over this period employment and population trends across industry sectors are observed and the REMPLAN Workforce Analysis Module (WAM) is applied to estimate the likely propensity of new residents to also work locally.

Strategic Leadership Conference - RDA Mid North Coast

REMPLAN was proud to be one of the “Premium Sponsors” of the Strategic Leadership Conference, hosted by RDA Mid North Coast at the Glasshouse in Port Macquarie. Speakers included the Hon Simon Crean MP (Minister for Regional Australia), the Hon Andrew Stoner MP (Deputy Premier, NSW), Dr Tim Williams and Dr Hunter Watt.
